1. Who may use this service
The Roblox Safety Scan is offered by Keep AI Safe, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It is intended for parents, legal guardians, and caregivers aged 18 or older, reviewing the online safety of a child in their care. By using it you confirm you meet that description. It is not intended for use by children.
2. What the service is, and is not
The service reads information that Roblox already displays publicly and organizes it into a plain-language safety report, optionally enriched by an independent threat-intelligence database. It is an informational tool.
It is not surveillance software, not a monitoring service, not legal or psychological advice, and not a substitute for your own judgment or for talking with your child. It cannot see private data, exact playtime, spending, or private messages, and it will tell you so rather than guess.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services now. To report online child exploitation, use the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.
3. Signals, not verdicts
Friend flags, community flags, and game markers are probabilistic signals derived from public patterns and an independent database. They are starting points for a conversation with your child, not findings of fact, and never an accusation that any person has done anything wrong. You agree not to treat a flag as proof of wrongdoing, and not to use reports to harass, threaten, defame, dox, or publicly accuse anyone. Reports are provided privately to you; publishing a report or a flag about an identifiable person is against these terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the service only as intended. In particular, you will not:
use it to stalk, harass, or investigate adults or children outside your care; attempt to identify, contact, or take action against account holders based on flags; use it for employment, insurance, credit, housing, or any other eligibility decision; scrape, overload, or programmatically abuse the service or the upstream APIs it relies on; attempt to bypass rate limits or probe the service for vulnerabilities; or resell or white-label the service.
We may throttle or block usage that threatens the service's availability or misuses it.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for how you act on a report. The healthy pattern the tool is designed around is reviewing findings together with your child. Information you store in on-device features (such as the Friend Map) lives in your browser under your control; keep your device secure and remember that anyone with access to it can see what you saved.
6. Third-party services and trademarks
Roblox is a trademark of Roblox Corporation. This is an independent tool built on publicly available data; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation. Threat-intelligence data comes from the independent Rotector project. Both upstream services can change or restrict their data at any time, which may change what a scan can show.
7. No warranty
The service is provided free of charge, as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and availability. Public data can be wrong, stale, hidden, or incomplete; heuristics produce false positives and false negatives; the absence of a flag is not an assurance of safety, and the presence of one is not a finding of danger.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Keep AI Safe, its directors, employees, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any decision made or action taken in reliance on a report. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the service, which is zero.
9. Changes and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service or these terms at any time. Material changes to these terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Keep AI Safe is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Questions about these terms: support@keepaisafe.org.
